Please can you confirm if the google garage is just to help Leeds, or is it open to any businesses within the UK? I am interested though I live a long way from Leeds!

Whilst it's great that Google has recognised its power in the economy, and it really can be an 'engine of growth' Lets not forget Google Panda, dam near destroyed thousands of small businesses, and is still giving them a raw deal ranking directory websites such as Yell.com Freeindex, Yelp ect. above small business websites.

Wishing you huge success with this initiative. Great idea and look forward to seeing the sustainability of these great 'out of london' programs

    Hi,

Trying to register for this event using the https://digitalgarage.withgoogle.com
and available dates for the 1 to 1 are passed dates and other activity dates are only available for the next few days. I understand this is in place till september? when will the site be updated with future dates?

I spent some time at Reception on Day 1 of Digital Garage explaining that if the published location was correct, i.e. Clarence Dock - and not Leeds Dock as published that I would have found it much easier instead of being 20 minutes late.
Clarence Dock is written in large letters directly above the door.
What is really galling is that having provided this useful information and been promised that something would be done about it - it is now 2 weeks later and nothing has been done about it.
    But wait - there's more.
Having been registered and attended the first event - the Feedback page says I can't provide feedback because I'm not registered nor have I attended.
I am a great disciple for Google and seriously disappointed at this lack of basic responsiveness.

I am trying to get in contact with anyone from the Digital Garage to discuss possible training for teachers that they have offered. However, trying to find any contact details is proving difficult.

    Can anyone help with this?

I've been twice and its a fabulous if frustrating facility. Have not been able to get specific questions about search answered as only a social media specialist was available both times. They were helpful and friendly but I needed to ask about transfer of address in search. I have booked again for next week, it seems to be a bit of a lottery to see if you can get to speak to the right person. The registration system is dreadful. The only way to use it is to log in with a new email address each time because it will not let you add new bookings or give feedback with a previously used address. This is not up to the quality to be expected from google. It is free and much appreciated but frustrating and time consuming.
